Last night I was enjoying a few drinks with my friends and I felt my phone vibration, it was a sms from a unfamiliar long numbers (+6281586206758). The sms content was as such:
“ Matlumat! Dari SHELL Mlys, Anda tlh berjaya Memenangi Caj Tunai RM17,000. Sila dail No’teplipon Office:00628161641265 Penghatar: Shell Malaysia”
I was so happy when I finish reading this, who will not be happy. I thought I was drunk, so I read this sms again and again. I find it weird that the office number is so damn long which don’t make any sense. However, my happiness doesn’t last long as it has been covered by the alcohols. The next morning I woke up and login to the Shell website and look out for the winner list which my name is not listed there. The grand prize was not even RM17,000 but is RM18,000. It was a con sms which I don’t understand how they benefit from it. Since is a con job, why are the sms so unrealistic. I think the con man are not a very bright person. Although is all a dream, the few minutes of happiness do feels good. I never ever win any prizes in the game of luck all my life, that’s why I’m so used to it which I won’t have any hope of me winning anything in whatever contest I participate in. I guess nothing comes free for me….
